Did you know that December 4th is National Cookie Day?!
Other snacks celebrated this month include pie, cotton candy, chocolate brownies (mmm!), cocoa, and cupcakes. In honor of National Cookie Day, here is a favorite cookie recipe from Renee’s mom, Elaine!
Molasses Crinkle Cookies
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Grease a cookie sheet.
Ingredients:
3 sticks margarine
1 cup sugar
1 cup brown sugar
2 eggs
½ cup molasses
4 ½ cups flour
4 tsp baking soda
½ tsp salt
½ tsp ground cloves
2 tsp cinnamon
2 tsp ground ginger
Mix dry ingredients in a bowl. In a separate bowl, mix together all of the wet ingredients. While stirring, gradually combine both mixtures. Roll batter into small balls and roll each in sugar. Place on greased cookie sheet. Bake for 10-12 minutes. Enjoy (Mom thinks this recipe makes about 4 dozen cookies)!

Enjoy a meal and holiday stories with Santa on Friday, December 10th at 4:30PM. This event will take place on the lower level in center court outside of Dillard's where we will be enjoying a delicious meal from Aurora Eatery! There are a limited number of spots, so be sure to secure your spot today by registering.

2 - Nick’s Food Drive with Santa!
With every 12 cans donated receive a FREE Digital photo with Santa. Cash donations also accepted with a suggested donation of $10. All proceeds will benefit a local charity. Digital photos can be downloaded from nicksgardencenter.com
All photos will be available in a community photo gallery containing all the days photos
for 48 hours after Santa Visit. A Nick's attendant can also take a photo for you with your smart device.
