I have never been more appreciative of my trusty vehicle than just a few weeks ago: it was 1:45 am on a Saturday night (early Sunday morning) after a fun girl’s night out. As I started my car on my friend’s quiet downtown street, I was loudly praising my sweet Toyota for starting right up after sitting for 5 hours, frozen in negative 11-degree snowy conditions! Thank goodness for a well-maintained vehicle!
In honor of Valentine’s Day, I invite you to consider my silly, "vehicle twist" on the wisdom of the well-known relationship book, The 5 Love Languages!
- Acts of Service – give the vehicle the manufacturer's recommended maintenance services. In return, the vehicle helps you safely arrive at your destination.
- Quality Time – let your vehicle have quality time with your trusted auto technicians and you will have more opportunities to enjoy quality time driving around with friends and family.
- Words of Affirmation – computers these days receive and give feedback through scanners and computers; your technicians are here to translate!
- Gifts – consider investing in special BG additives and services and your vehicle will be better able to gift you with better performance and savings on both fuel and repair costs!
- Touch – vacuum and wash it occasionally and your seats, floor mats, and paint will hold up longer.

From day one, the owners of Aurora AutoPros have sought to consistently participate in Community Projects and efforts to strengthen Aurora in big and small ways. One such way is by serving on the Advisory Board for Picken Technical College. In January, Renee was delighted to speak to Pickens Automotive students about what shops are looking for in new hires and opportunities available to technicians as they enter the automotive industry. She spoke on a panel alongside other shop owners and industry professionals, all of whom tried to impart what it takes to succeed as a technician. The students were well prepared by their teachers and asked a lot of great questions! The panelists had a shared goal: to encourage and support students who are SERIOUS about automotive as a career and who are ready to work hard and receive the many rewards that this career can offer.

Life in Motion: A Colorado Dance Film Festival
